OUR FITNESS CLASSES

The Hanwood Centre offers an exciting programme of classes to keep you on your toes all year round and we are always adding new classes into the mix! We aim for our classes to be inclusive of everyone, regardless of fitness level – so come along and give it a go!


Classes we currently offer:

•Spin: 45 minute high intensity indoor cycle class – helps to build muscle strength, improves blood flow, increases stamina, and also burns calories.

•Circuits: 45 minute class featuring various cardio and resistance exercises for a full body workout

•Body Conditioning: Full body workout consisting of weight training and HIIT class

•HIIT & Core: Core/ab workout + high intensity interval training – improve core, muscle and cardio

•Pilates: Improves posture, core strength, and energy, while reducing pain


Stronger For Longer – Over 65s FitnessStronger for Longer Fitness Classes Logo

Our Stronger For Longer Fitness Classes are for those aged 65+ looking to improve their fitness levels. There are currently 9 classes running per week which range in level of ability:

Move & Improve: Higher intensity class for those aiming to improve their performance and push themselves further.

Move More: Similar to the above class, but with a different variety of exercises.

Move: This class is suitable for those with mobility issues. There are a large selection of optional seated exercises.

Beginners: This class is for all new members or those who have had a prolonged break from the classes due to illness or injury. A minimum of 8 weeks must be completed before transitioning to other classes.

Monday: Move & Improve 9.45am, Move More 10.45am, Move 11.45am

Wednesday:Move & Improve 9.45am, Move More 10.45am

Thursday: Beginners Class 11.30am

Friday: Move & Improve 9.45am, Move More 10.45am, Move 11.45am
